Shift and Page Springs Cellars Team Up for Exclusive Wine Pairing Dinner

At last. One of Flagstaff’s most creative and sophisticated restaurants has paired up with one of Arizona’s most notable and lauded wineries. Shift Kitchen + Bar and Page Springs Cellars join forces for a one-night-only intimate evening of food and wine.

This 5-course culinary journey will be handcrafted by Shift chef and owner Joe Rodger and will showcase the best of summer’s fare: juicy tomatoes touched with ribbons of prosciutto, sweet melon sided with crab, delicate rabbit accompanied by grapefruit sabayon.

“Most of the produce we use comes from local farms,” says co-owner Dara Rodger. “The theme is extremely seasonal and super summer.”

Each course is paired with a glass of Page Springs Cellars wine, hand-selected by owner and vintner Eric Glomski. While this Arizona winery may be well known for their Rhone-style reds, at this dinner, Page Springs Cellar’s sumptuous whites and elegant rosés will be front and center. It’s an exclusive showcase for these special wines.

Chef Joe, Dara Rodger, and Eric Glomski will host the evening, personally leading guests through each course. Shift will close its doors to the public for this dinner, encouraging a close-knit, lively, make-new-friends-over-food-and-wine atmosphere.

“Joe and Dara approached me about this dinner,” says Glomski. “And we all instantly fell in love after enjoying a few glasses of wine. Joe and Dara are doing fresh, creative work with a lot of attention to detail. We’re excited to partner with them on this dinner.”

The 5-course dinner paired with 6 wines takes place on Monday, July 31 at 6 p.m. at Shift Kitchen + Bar, located at 107 N. San Francisco St., Flagstaff. Tickets cost $95 per person (excluding tax and gratuity) and guests are encouraged to reserve early as seating is limited.
