100% Grenache (AZ)
We have had Grenache planted on the Page Springs Estate since day one in 2004. One of the biggest challenges with this grape and the resultant wines is that to get decent color and complex, ripe flavors you have to hang it a long time. While it hangs, sugar rises, acid drops, and there is potential for the wine to become flabby and hot. Not so this vintage. This wine has an incredibly intense concentration of strawberry-brambly aromas and flavors and is a great expression of our valley. As a local contrast to our “neutral oak” bottling, we have aged the same wine on Arizona White oak to help you see how another element of our landscape compliments this wonderful wine. You will certainly see more tannin, richness and structure imparted from the influence of Arizona Oak.
